The Citizen Tribune Holiday Hope Fund Christmas Food & Toy program is Morristown’s longest-standing Christmas program and has served thousands of families each year. All the recipient families are provided with the components of a full Christmas dinner (and often more), and children ages 1-12 receive toys for the parents to wrap or give in anyway they wish.
The program has been refined over the years to champion accountability, flexibility, and anonymity. The staff and volunteers at Central Services love getting to be “Santa’s Elves” each year because we believe that every family deserves to experience the magic of Christmas in their own special way.
Due to the pandemic, we’re unsure what the 2020 Holiday Hope Fund season will look like. We created this page to make Angel Tree Shopping and donating online easier and to give participants, volunteers, and donors the most up-to-date information.
Partnerships are a cornerstone at Central Services and play a major role in each program we administer. The Christmas program is unique in its ability to pull the entire community together, and it receives an abundance of support from countless businesses, churches, and organizations of all kinds. We are grateful for the love and support from everyone involved and hope that this annual effort to spread love and joy will always be a part of Hamblen County for years to come.
